I DON'T recommend it for everybody, see why

Reviewed By: danuffo on 01 Jul 2021

I felt very hyped when I saw this in “waiting list” and I downloaded this patch as soon as it was published.

I wanted a spanish translation with the Japanese logo style, so thank you “blade” (I’m a personal fan from his other translations).

Just a few complains…

Sprites

Most of the new sprites are not good looking, it only fixes the introductory scene of the game specially the missed black color pixels (thank you) but not the charging weapon face. Is that suposed to look like a “grimace face”? It doesn’t work for me, sorry, I had to restore the original sprites/pixels by myself.

This is the reason I can’t recommend the patch to everyone.

Translation

The translation is 95% well written, sometimes I find weird structures for sentences (example, “Él no será libre” should be “Él no estará libre”), it also lacks some ortography, I would forgive this but I see it’s a writter’s accident not a technical limitation.

Powers names translated? I like it but necessary

I love the intention, however the names for the special powers are not necessary to be translated, I learned some time ago that it’s better to put english names if they fit better the text box, instead of abbreviated spanish names.

Just like the names for the bosses, they are always in english and they don’t jeopardize the player’s experience, only the dialogues and story telling are important to get translated.

“READY”

I always felt something weird about the “listo” replacing english word “ready”, because it’s an ambiguous word, it could also means “intelligent” in english. “Preparado” would be a better choice but for technical limitations or low knowledge, I understand that’s a big challenge to achieve, anyways, in this case I would have preferred to keep the english word.

Other option could be “Acción” but again… it’s harder to insert I know.

Overall, I like the translation (I still found spelling mistakes) written with Spain rules, new titlte logo is EXCELLENT…

I have to take consideration about other users who will download it without expecting those shocking changes that they may not like(that new weird face expression while charging the weapon), I’d say I recommend it but… not for everybody.
